Tianjin has excellent coastal conditions and is
ideal breeding grounds for migratory fish, shrimps,
indigenous fish, shrimp, lobster and shellfish. Tianjin's
vast inland water area enables freshwater fish cultivation
to flourish. All these have provided people from all
countries as well as the people from Tianjin uncontaminated
and fresh agricultural and sideline products, and
broad prospects for the further processing of farm
products. The Tianjin Municipal Government has made
plans to accelerate the industrialization and modernization
of agriculture, and encourages overseas investment
in agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, agriculture
by-products and fishery. The future of cooperation
for further processing of agriculture and sideline
products and the development of green, pollution-free
foods is bright.
