The Baodi Economic Development Area was set up in 1992. ·Geographical Location: It is situated at the center part surrounded by 3 major cities of Beijing, Tianjin and Tangshan, and is closed to Beijing-Shenyang-Dandong international expressway. Its planned area is 2 sq.km.

·Infrastructure:

Complete facilities for electricity supply, water supply and drainage and telecommunication. Roads have been connected and land leveled.

·Industries:

At present, 90 enterprises have been built up in the zone, 27 are domestic and 63 are overseas-funded. The objective of Baodi Economic Development Zone is: to build an export-oriented economic zone where hi-tech industries play primary role on the basis of modernized industry and to develop the tertiary industry including finance, commerce and trade and real estate in a coordinated way.
