The steel wire for high-pressure rubber pipe was the output
along with the rapid development of hydraulic pressure mechanism
in the mechanical industry, coal industry, traffic, and
automobile industry. This kind of wire can be used as a
framework material of high-pressure rubber pipe. The production
of steel wires for high-pressure rubber pipe manufacture
is in small quantity in China. At present, the annual market
demand is 14000~16000 tons. The production capacity is only
7000 tons per year at home, and most of the factories who
produce such wires are located in the south of Changjiang
River, and very little in North China. Owing to the rapid
development of automobile industry, especially the high-
speed development of tyre industry throughout the country
in recent years, the bevel tyres will be replaced by the
meridian tyres gradually. Therefore the demand of framework
material of tyres and tyre wires will be rising at high
speed. It is estimated that the demand of tyre wires will
reach 180000 tons after 2000, and market demand is very
broad.

The first metal Products Factory of Tianjin is the origin
of metal products in Tianjin City and produces all variety
of products from low carbon content to middle and high carbon
content as well as alloy products. The fine steel wires
is its most famous product, it produced the finest metal
materials needed by state engineering and the scientific
research for national defense, such as "863" space
project and "two-missile and one-satellite". The
Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the State
Council and the Defense Committee of the Communist Party
of China praised it. There are our factory's products in
Daqing ethylene engineering as well as in many major state
engineering. The major products are the spring steel wires
of media-high carbon content with diameter §¶0.3~5.0mm, tyre
steel wires, zinc-planting steel wires and other steel wires,
such as the steel wires of net fence, shed wires and so
on, in our factory at present.
