Project
Profile:
The gas automobile uses
liquefied petroleum gas or compressed natural gas as fuel
instead of gasoline or diesel oil. It is one of the most
feasible techniques at present. The gas station for automobile
will supply liquefied petroleum gas or natural gas to the
automobiles, which use gas as fuel. As one of the "Blue
Sky Program" projects, this project will play a positive
role in the popularization of gas vehicles in Tianjin.
Construction Scale and Content:
19 natural gas stations will be built including 3 mother
stations and 16 branch stations. 60 liquefied gas stations
will also be built. Nearly 80% of taxis and public buses
will use this kind of gas as fuel.
Social
and Economic Benefit:
The project will popularize
the use of gas automobiles, reduce the pollution from tail
gas exhaust, better air quality and balance the utilization
of resources. It is also one of the efficient ways to enlarge
the consumption of natural gas resource in Tianjin.
