Project
Profile:
Tangshan-Tianjin Expressway
is a major part of the State-level highway trunk lines under
the State Planning. The Expressway starts from Tangshan
Jiedanla Highway in the north and terminates at Tianjin
Jinghai County, linking Beijing-Shanghai Expressway (one
of the State-level highway trunk lines). The completion
of Beijing-Shenyang Expressway and Beijing-Shanghai Expressway
will encourage the construction of this project as soon
as possible.
Construction Scale and Content:
The Tangshan-Tianjin Expressway (south section in Tianjin)
starts from the west of Tanggu District, linking Tangshan-Tianjin
Expressway in the north section in Tianjin. It passes through
Jinnan District, Xiqing District, Dagang District and terminates
at Wangguantun of Jinghai County, linking Beijing-Shanghai
Expressway. The total length is 66 km with the four-lane
expressway standard and the designed speed of 120km/h.
Social
and Economic Benefit:
The estimated traffic
volume will be 8595 vehicles/d by the year of 2004. The
number will reach 16836/d by 2010 and 38592/d by 2024. The
project will be wholly recovered in 15.2 years.
