Project
Profile:
Tianjin-Shanxi Expressway
was planned by the State as one of the key trunk roads.
Serving as important access to Tianjin Harbor from northwest
Area it links, in east end, the economic area along the
Bohai Bay with Datong Shanxi and Wuhai Innermongulia in
west end. The Expressway also plays a prime role for the
traffic to Tanggu, Xingang Habour and Lingang Industrial
Area. Economic development will benefit a lot from the project
for Tianjin urban, New Coastal Area and Lingang Industrial
Area.
Construction Scale and Content:
The expressway covers 75 km in total, which ranges from
Lingang Industrial Area to Beijing-Shanghai Expressway,
and passes by the Logistics Centre of Tianjin Harbour, Development
Area of South Tianjin, Xianshuigu District of South Tianjin
and Shangxinkou Xiqing District Tianjin. The project is
executed according to quadruple-lane expressway standard.
Subgrade is of 28m in wide and paving wide is 22.5m. Designed
speed is 120km/h.
Social
and Economic Benefit:
Traffic volume is projected
to be 11228 vehicles/d by the year of 2003. The number will
reach 34246/d by 2013 and 48000/d by 2023. Inner return
rate is 21.64%. The project will be wholly recovered in
12 years.
