　 Project Profile:
　 The project is proposed to produce mud pressured shield excavators in enterprise of China to fill this part of domestic market, and with the increase of production, to meet the demands gradually from railway construction. Oil and natural gas pipeline construction equipment includes series of heavy-medium duty trenchers, pipe cranes, welders, series of auto boring hammers and series of benders.


　 Construction Scale and Content:
　 The first shield excavator will have 50-70% of parts that is made in China, and its performance comes near or reaches advanced level of the world. By the year of 2010 the batch production will be realized. After completion of the project 765 sets of pipeline construction equipment will be produced per year, among which there 610 trenchers, 40 pipe cranes, 30 welders, 25 auto boring hammers in series, 30 benders and 30 jack hammers.


　 Social and Economic Benefit:
　The price of shield excavator will be lower than that of the same sort of excavator of foreign countries by 48% and the construction cost will be lowered by 40-60% to insure fairly good social and economic benefit. Oil pipe works will increase sale income by 302 million Yuan and profit plus tax by 35 million Yuan, which will serve as an impetus for energy, traffic, communication and other trades, and will initiate development of other related trades.
