Z-type visa is granted to foreigners with permission to work in China and their families. Z-type visa holders should, within 30days after the date of entry, apply for a foreigner residence certificate or a provisional foreigner residence certificate. Z-type visas could be applied for single, double or multiple entries. A permit for employment from the Municipal Bureau of Labor is required when applying for Z-Type visas. For stays in China for over one year, the applicant should submit a health certificate issued by the medical and health department designated by the government of his or her country, or a health certificate issued by a medical and health agency authenticated by notary public. The health certificate will be valid for six months starting from the date of issuance.
