This is a company established in China solely by overseas investors or jointly with Chinese investors in the form of a limited liability company to engage in direct investment. Applications for setting up such a company must fulfil the following requirements: The overseas investor should be of excellent credit standing and has the financial capability or the establishment of an investment company. The total assets of the investor in the previous year should be no less than US$ 400 million and the investor has in the meantime already established overseas funded enterprises in China with actual payment in registered capital amounting to over US$ 10 million with more than three investment projects already approved ; or the investor has already set up more than ten overseas enterprises engaging in manufacturing or construction of infrastructure facilities with actually paid-in registered capital of over US$ 30 million. For the establishment of an investor shall be of excellent credit standing and possess the economic capabilities for the establishment of investment company and total assets of no less than RMB￥100 million. The registered capital of the investment company shall not be less than US$30 million.
