From Jan. to August of
2002, 538 Foreign Direct Investment Agreements had signed
in Tianjin and the Total value was USD$3.927 billion increased
by 21.4 per cent, The foreign investment value beyond contracts
was USD$3.555 billion increased 17.7per cent. The actual
usage of FIA was about UD$2.489 billion. By the end of August,
the city totally had signed 14771 agreements of foreign
direct investment with the value of US$3.9532 billion.
