From Jan. to May. of
2002, 282 Foreign Direct Investment Agreements had signed
in Tianjin and the Total value was USD$2.38 billion increased
by 9.4 per cent, The foreign investment value beyond contracts
was USD$2.199 billion increased 9.9 per cent. The actual
usage of FIA was about UD$1.455 billion. By the end of May,
the city totally had signed14515 agreements of foreign direct
investment with the value of US$ 38.176 billion.
