From Jan. to April. of
2002, 226 Foreign Direct Investment Agreements had signed
in Tianjin and the Total value was USD$1.765 billion increased
by 9.2 per cent, The foreign investment value beyond contracts
was USD$1.618 billion increased 9.9 per cent. The actual
usage of FIA was about UD$0.954 billion. By the end of april.,
the city totally had signed14459 agreements of foreign direct
investment with the value of US$ 37.594 billion.
